Therapy Reimagined

Authentic, Aligned

and Human

Welcome to
The OT Place

At The OT Place, we are proud to do occupational therapy in a way that feels real: grounded in evidence, shaped by lived experience, and built around the person in front of us.

We're here to listen, to connect, and to walk beside you and your family with support that is grounded, evidence-based, and deeply personal.

AHPRA-registered

Occupational Therapists

We support children and teens in building ease, comfort, and confidence.

Our approach extends beyond occupational therapy appointments and techniques, rooted in the belief that wellness begins with understanding the body, or your child’s nervous system, and learning how to support it, rather than work against it.

Occupational Therapy in a safe space, a space where you matter

This is a space to reset, release, relieve and revitalise. A place to slow down, be listened to properly, and move forward with practical support that makes sense in real life.

We bring together the mind, body and spirit perspective of healing to create harmonious health and wellness throughout the body.

MEET our FOUNDER

Hi, I’m Tarsha

I created the OT Place to make occupational therapy feel more human, honest, grounded, and deeply supportive.

At its heart, The OT Place is a place to slow down, reset, and reconnect, helping your children listen to their body and build the kind of wellness that carries into everyday life.

We work with:

Children, teens, and families navigating neurodivergence (including ADHD, autism, sensory processing differences, emotional regulation challenges, and more).

Parents who want to better understand and support their child in ways that are developmentally appropriate and truly neuro-affirming.

Individuals experiencing soft tissue pain or dysfunction, including growing kids, athletes, or adults needing support with injury prevention, pain relief, or postural alignment.

Real Advice.

Real Tools.

Real Results.

The OT Place was born from Tarsha’s belief in holistic, natural health and the body’s capacity to heal when it’s understood. After a life-changing accident and years of rehabilitation, she developed a deep respect for what pain can take away, and what the right support can give back.

This practice is built on that lived understanding: that wellbeing is not only physical, and healing isn’t something you do alone. We’re here to walk alongside people. To bring clarity, support and empowerment, so they can build a life with more capability and wellness, what ever their starting point.

Frequently Asked Questions

Do I need a referral to see an occupational therapist?

No referral is needed to book an appointment at The OT Place. Families across Piara Waters and surrounding areas are welcome to contact us directly to chat about their needs and see if we’re the right fit.

What ages do you work with?

We support children, teens and families, and also work with individuals seeking soft tissue occupational therapy. Our paediatric services are tailored to each child’s developmental stage, strengths and everyday environment.

Do you support neurodivergent children?

Yes. We provide neuro-affirming occupational therapy for children and teens, including those with ADHD, autism, sensory processing differences and emotional regulation challenges. Our approach honours each child’s unique nervous system and learning style.

What happens in a paediatric occupational therapy session?

Sessions are play-based, child-led and relationship-focused. We take time to build trust and safety, while supporting skills such as emotional regulation, sensory processing, fine motor development and confidence — all in ways that feel natural and meaningful to your child.

Do you involve parents and caregivers in therapy?

Absolutely. Parents are an essential part of the process. We work closely with families, offering practical strategies that fit real life, not extra pressure or unrealistic routines. Our goal is to support the whole family, not just the session.

What is soft tissue occupational therapy?

Soft tissue occupational therapy is a gentle, hands-on approach that supports pain, tension, movement restriction and nervous system overload. It’s designed to help people understand their bodies, address underlying patterns and build lasting comfort and resilience. Soft tissue therapy can be helpful for growing bodies, active kids, teens and athletes, particularly where pain, postural strain or movement challenges are present. Sessions are always adapted to the individual and delivered with care and consent.
